Some understanding about marriage

chinneeq May 17th, 2008

Am really not in the mood to write anything, since something very serious pops up at home (having to deal with mental disorder patient) which require a lot of attention and coordination with the authorities. Sorry I have not been able to blog hop too, at the moment.

So just going to pen down some conversation I had with my girl, that could really lighten up my day.

  • to test her understanding about marriage

QQ: Ma…I am going to get married.
Me: With who?
QQ: I wanna married with kor-kor (she keep on assuming I’ll give birth to a kor-kor for her)
Me: Why you don’t wanna marry Mummy? (that’s what she used to say last time)
QQ: Coz you married Papa mah….so I married kor-kor lor…..

  • to test her knowledge again on understanding of race

Me: QQ ah, can Chinese married Indian ah?
QQ: Can…
Me: Err…what colour is their baby?
QQ: Black and yellow la…..(don’t mean to offense yeah)

Scary movie

chinneeq May 17th, 2008

We hardly watch movies, be it the latest movie released in town. I think the last time we went for a movie in the cinema was many years ago, long before we got married. I do personally like horror and exciting movie but am very timid and scared too at the same time. You would probably laugh your head off if you see the way I watch horror movies, with both hands covering my eyes at the slight appearance of scary image or suspect of sudden sound.

The recent release, Frontier(s) is a violent provoking thriller. The trill of the story begins when two robbers who were separated with the plan on meeting up stayed in the hotel run by the Von Geisler family. When they found out something is not right in this hotel, they wanted to escape but many horror things happened to them during the process. Seems pretty interesting so if you want to find out more, do go watch this movie. Selected theatres are going to start showing this controversial unrated on May 9th (movies don’t get to theatres and this film is doing so). If you find Trailer scary, you probably dare dare to watch this too. But if you love to own a DVD, you probably could get this by May 13th when it is released.

Thought I am gonna deliver!

chinneeq May 14th, 2008

13 May 2008 (@31weeks 4days)

Really had scare yesterday. Went for an emergency check-up at a nearby last night.

Since yesterday morning, I have been experience very bad pain on the left of my stomach until I cannot even walk anymore. Silly as it sounds, me as a 2nd time mum, cannot even tell if it is Braxton Hicks, tightening or contraction (or my boys are punching each other inside!). I just know that the pain really numbs my whole stomach and it get worse in the evening after I woke up from my evening nap.

So scared I might give birth anytime, I quickly take a shower, and have the remaining things pack into my hospital bag. Not wanting to make unnecessary trips to the hospital, we quickly went to scan and check up at a nearby clinic to diagnose the problem.

Thank goodness there is no sign of delivery since I am only 31weeks+!

  • no sign of dilation
  • no sign of tightening
  • no sign of contraction

Good news is that both my babies are positioned head down now (cephalic) and the pain is probably due to the pressing weight towards my pelvic (previously Twin 2 was breeched).

Thanks to Wai Han again for guiding me to visualize the image below so that both babies turn down.

For mummies who wish to have their baby head down and have a normal delivery, do try:

  • Visualize that the baby in your womb has turn (with the above picture)
  • Speak to your baby
  • Do exercise on four
  • Play classical music near to your pelvic (good tip from Shooi)

It really works for me, when QQ was breeched and this time my twins. Just hope that my twins remain in this position ( although it’s gonna be very painful for me) so that I could have a normal and easy delivery again this time!

A so-so Mother’s Day

chinneeq May 13th, 2008

This is what I got for Mother’s Day. It is from my girl’s school, and this nice fridge magnet is so nicely done obviously not by my girl but a project of the school teachers for the parents. Nothing from hubby :(

What did we do on Mother’s Day? Nothing much except going to my SIL’s place for lunch, nap and dinner. That’s what I did. QQ get to play with her cousin and also swim at their place while I just rest. My SIL got to do all the cooking as I am too big and unable to help much.

When we came home late at night, a close family member called up to tell me again some bad news. His wife again threatened him that she will die together with their 2 little kids (wife trying to feed the children with Panadols while the hubby challenge them to take Clorox instead)…..sigh…..not going to go into details here but this husband and wife problem has been dragging for so long, and it is almost never ending, leaving us all of us so tired at all time. Good thing that this morning I found out that the wife just ran away to stay in a hotel, for the 3rd time with her kids…..

I told hubby, that I feel really blessed that our marriage our love is still going strong. Wonder is it so normal for husband and wife to have sour relationship like that when a marriage is still that new…..

Earlier exposure for children today

chinneeq May 13th, 2008

Children today are really lucky as compare to children our time. With higher education and a better income, parents today could afford better luxury life for their children. For instant, I see most school children carry a more expensive and better hand phone than me. They are not cheap either, if you have more than one kid who is carrying a phone. And that also have not include the monthly payment for bill payment depending on their usage. Continue Reading »

Cycle to work

chinneeq May 13th, 2008

The traffic jam in my area, especially on the road leading out to the town is getting bad to worse with the increased traffic. On average, one has to spend about fifteen to twenty minutes just to get out of the housing area, and then followed by another traffic jam on the highway on the way to the office. I could say that most of us get really irritated and tired by the time they reach their work place. Isn’t it a lousy way to start a fresh morning? Continue Reading »

Will I mix up Who is Who?

chinneeq May 12th, 2008

I think it is pretty normal for any pregnant mummy to feel anxious when the birth of their baby is about to due. That includes 2nd time mummy like me!

I couldn’t sleep last night as there are 101 questions popping up on my mind. For instant:

What if I mix up my own twins?

From my first experience, each baby will have a tag tied on them upon delivery and upon discharge, the tag must be cut away so that the authority knows that the baby you carry is not a stolen one.

Jacss told me I could use a ribbon but I am afraid it might fall off.

JPPmom says she could easily tell her twins even though they are identical.

But what if my babies look so alike that I cannot differentiate them after that, say at home? My ex-nanny said it is ok as long both kids are mine, hehe…but of course also must identify which is which, right? I think the only way to identify by then is to do DNA test?

Sounds a bit silly me, but this is what a twin pregnancy turns me into, a real panic pregnant women right now….

A new watch?

chinneeq May 12th, 2008

I used to love nice watches and even have a collection of them when I was in my teenage years. Although I cannot afford expensive Swiss watch at that time, I will buy nice and cute looking watch regardless of brands as a souvenir. I still have some of them with me now, but most of them are not working anymore. Continue Reading »

New Header for Jane

chinneeq May 11th, 2008

Just created a new header, for Jane’s blog.

Also a playgroup mate of mine, she recently created this blog just for her hubby since her hubby is now working quite far away. Still exclusively breastfeeding her chubby little girl, she is also a FTWM having to manage 2 kids by her own (really salute her!)

With this blog, she hopes that her hubby would be able to read and see what his little children are up to at home with his lovely wife. Do read up more about her to find out more:)

Protection plus savings

chinneeq May 10th, 2008

Is it really that essential for each of us to own at least a policy of the life insurance? Hubby and I did sign up with one many years ago when we came out to work. Although there is a minimum protection, but the amount protected is not as great as it was years back due to the inflation. In fact, the amount that would be paid to us in case of any death or permanent disability cannot even help us to sustain our one year living with the cost of living today. And to our great disappointment, the insurance company even extended our monthly premium payment for another few more years without increasing the amount insured. Continue Reading »

Twin Pregnancy: 31 weeks

chinneeq May 7th, 2008

Just had a follow up in HUKM today. Even get to use the 4D scan again today, just for normal progress scan :)

Pregnancy Portraits by Jazzmint

Prenancy Progress:
Mummy’s weight: 79KG
Weight: Twin 1 (1.8kg), Twin 2 (1.5kg)
Positioning: Twin 1 (Cephalic-head down), Twin 2 (Breech)
Placenta: Most likely sharing one placenta (so shall be look-alike twins!!)
Uterus Height: 38cm (pretty BIG)

Although my tummy looks awful, I still manage to have an acne free face without having to use any acne solutions in this pregnancy. Thank goodness!!

Since a friend of mine (who has triplets) has been admitted into ward for close monitoring, I managed to visit her. At only 32 weeks, guess how many kgs of babies she is carrying now? 1.6+1.6+1.7 = about a pack of 5KG rice!!

And gosh, she tummy looks REALLY BIG, amazingly with NO STRETCH MARK unlike me!!

Help with writing

chinneeq May 7th, 2008

Many people have fear when it comes to writing a long essay. I still remember when we need to do a research and produce thesis for our final year in the university, most of us have problem putting our research into proper words. Furthermore, I was very new to the computer at that time, and typing and aligning the words really gave me a big nightmare. Thank goodness I received lots of help from friends who are fast and good in typing, even expert in the words software for auto grammar and spell check. Continue Reading »

Better than previous?

chinneeq May 6th, 2008

If you come over to my blog, you will find that I finally replace my favourite blog theme with a new one.

I just found out that my blog looks weird in most of your computers (with the postings and pictures below the blog), but from my side, it looks normal all these while (be it IE or Firefox). Guess it must be the narrow space due to the left and right columns :(

Since we captured so many nice photos recently, I might as well give my blog a new outlook. Hope this new one looks more better on your screen now :)

What I wish for Mother’s Day

chinneeq May 6th, 2008

Thanks a lot for the lovely tags sent to me in conjunction of the coming special event, Mother’s Day. I really got to apologise for owning so many tags at this moment, and now I am wondering if I ever get to update my blog later when the babies are out.

Nothing is greater than the sacrifice of being a mother, and now bearing with two babies in my tummy, I can feel how tiring it is being called a mother. That is also the babies are not out yet at this moment and I am already like a half dead hippo. I just hope to spend some quiet time at home with hubby and QQ during this Mother’s Day and if he could just send me something nice like our wedding flowers, I would be very happy.
What’s my wish for this celebration? Well, I wish I could have a safe delivery this time and my babies will be fine.

Chicco Stroller

chinneeq May 5th, 2008

Made a few inquiries about twin stroller and boy, they are really expensive nowadays.

Since we decided to get a twin stroller (so that QQ could ride in with one of her brother, or skate along behind), we decided to let go of our precious Chicco Stroller which is still so new and in very good condition (hubby was extremely fussy and we only use that stroller on clean floor in shopping malls).
