3 monsters driving me up the wall
chinneeq January 7th, 2009
I almost exploded when my 3 monsters drove me up to the wall yesterday. First it was my 2 naughty boys. Just like their father, they almost refuse to nap. At only 6 months plus, they could stay up AWAKE for 7 hours, just imagine!
From 3pm (after waking up from their nap), especially Di-Di allow me, ONLY ME to carry him, to play with him, to feed him. I could not go to the toilet, could not nap, could not do any other thing except entertain him. Not that he could sit or lie there to play with me, but he wants me to carry him most of the time. As my maid and I were trying very hard to put the boys to nap (oh, we usually have to carry and pat them on shoulders to sleep), they just could not doze off (eyes open wide and cry out loud awake the moment we put them into their sarong :( ) Weird monster babies, don’t you think so?
Then come another big monster, who else if it is no other than their sister. Don’t know what got into her, she kept on waking up in the middle of her evening nap to cry, cough…until almost vomit (she did it many many times on my sofa), then fall asleep, wake up and cry again for Mummy!!! Arrghh…I was so mad I told her she still has her mummy, her mummy *belum mati* (although I wish the floor will open and swallow me in that very moment) that she should not wail like that.
I really cannot understand why my 3 children always have difficulty in their sleep or nap. (Even my ex-nanny or CL can be my verdict). From birth until now almost 5 years old, QQ always wakes up crying and even louder if I am out of sight. I notice the same with the boys now (especially I am in toilet)…sigh
When I read about how Chanel’s put baby Ariel to sleep, that her baby can be “left alone in her cot, on the music and off the light, and within a short while she would just doze off”……aiyoo…sounds so beautiful….I mean, it is like fairy tale parenting, that will only happens in books to me….SIGH…..
